Boards fixed properly: right screws, right depth, right centres
Drywall screws set just below the paper without breaking it, driven to proper centres, with joints staggered so no crack can run the height of the wall. Four boards never meet at one point. It takes a little longer to set out, and it is the difference between a wall and a patchwork.
Joints taped and bedded, corners beaded
Every joint gets tape bedded into compound, then built up in coats and feathered out wide, never just filled and hoped for. Every external corner gets a corner bead so it takes the knocks of real life. This is the stage that decides whether the wall still looks new years from now.
A skim finish that is actually ready for paint
The finished surface is checked flat under raking light, the dust is managed while we work, and the room is left clean. You get a wall the painter can mist coat straight away, and we can do the painting too if you want the whole job done in one visit.
